Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Scholarship Fund

Honoring the founder of Bethune-Cookman University and the National Council of Negro Women, this scholarship supports emergency funding for children in state custody, assist with special enrichment activities for them as well as foster children who have aged out of the foster care system. Funds are also used to support university students who were previously in foster care in Atlanta, GA, Jacksonville, FL and Memphis, TN.

Circles of Love and Peace (CLAP) Children’s Book Club Scholarship Fund

Since 2018 Black Rose Foundation for Children has helped more than fifty children with our literacy curriculum. The curriculum places children at the center of the community and utilizes book clubs called “Circles of Love and Peace” (CLAP) to help them develop their literacy skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing and financial literacy). We also provide literacy tutoring to help children progress to grad level and beyond. These book clubs focus on children “at promise” in third and fourth grades in our service area. Please help us help children make up for deficits caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
